3. Rory McIlroy’s Comments on the Olympics

Rory was one of many big names in golf to opt out of the return of the sport in the Olympics this past summer. He was also by far one of the most outspoken on the topic. Some criticized those who decided not to play for hurting the game.
Rory disagreed. “I don’t feel like I’ve let the game down at all. I didn’t get into golf to try and grow the game.” Ice cold, Rory. Although he did come around later on the subject and is looking forward to Tokyo in 2020.
