Tiger Woods Changes the Game

Woods literally changed the game when he turned pro in 1996, with his biggest contract coming from Nike. At age 19, Tiger signed $40 million, five-year contract! Some felt like this was a huge risk for Nike. Those people were obviously wrong. Since then, Tiger’s off the course income has been staggering raking in $100 million annually at his peak in the late 2000s. In fact, He was the highest-paid athlete in the world for 11 straight years! His struggles have made that number dip in recent years, but he still currently has deals he signed with TaylorMade and Bridgestone at the beginning of 2017.
