Billionaire Builds Golfer’s Paradise in Backyard

The age-old question of what someone could gift a person who seemingly has everything has been answered: more land for their backyard golf paradise.

Charles Cohen, a billionaire real estate developer and movie producer, did Dave Pelz and Tiger Woods one better with his insanely lavish backyard golf course/paradise.

Situated on 39 acres, Cohen enlisted the help of golf course architect Michael Lehrer. According to Yahoo!, the yard includes seven tee boxes, 10 pins, three sand traps, tee markers, ball washers, waterfalls and 70 target combinations on an 11,000 square-foot expanse of artificial turf. Cohen brought in 180 tons of crushed rock to shape the greens and 10 tons of stone dust to smooth the putting surfaces.

All in all, the project cost Cohen somewhere between $100,000 and $200,000, which for a man worth $3.3 billion is a fairly responsible little gift for yourself.
