DJ, Rory Vying For FedEx Cup’s $10 Million Prize

How does the PGA Tour compete with the NFL on a Sunday in the fall? The Tour Championship has done its part by identifying two of the most talented golfers on the planet and set a $10 million prize as their goal on Sunday. Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy are the two biggest names amongst the five players within three shots of the lead through 54 holes at East Lake.

We know that the top-5 in the FedEx Cup standings control their own destiny, but McIlroy coming into the week at sixth is nearly in the same boat

McIlroy, who is two shots back heading into Sunday, will need to overtake Johnson and Kevin Chappell, both of whom sit at 8-under par through 54 holes. McIlroy is tied with Ryan Moore and one ahead of Hideki Matsuyama, but is clearly in the best position to challenge DJ for the FedEx Cup crown.

The full leaderboard can be found here.
