Amateur golfers are far too trusting of what professional Tour players have to say about the game. Whether it be a swing thought, a movement or a warmup technique, just because it works for a few big-name players doesn’t mean that it will work for Jane or Joe Hacker at the local golf course.
However, golf is a game in which hope springs eternal and the search for that secret tweak is always just out of reach. The European Tour brilliantly took advantage of amateur golfers’ fatal flaw and commissioned Ian Poulter, Padraig Harrington, Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer to expose it.
Going over everything from eye stretches to grass covering the ball, throwing the club or humming at impact, these amateurs were all-in on what the pros were selling. The am’s willingness to go along with the seemingly ridiculous requests of the pros makes for another fantastic video from the European Tour.
Here’s what the pros had to say on social media.
I can't stop laughing…. 😂😂
Please forgive me… it's gets better..
The whole lesson will be shown tomorrow.. #BadCoaching
