Club Thief Could Face Up To Five Years in Prison



 

If you are in the market for a new driver, do the honorable thing and pay for it, or else risk going to jail for up to five years. A couple weeks ago, a man walked into a Florida golf shop and according to the surveillance footage, walked out with three drivers totaling $1,500. Now the search is on to find bring him to justice.

The Naples Daily News has the report:

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking the public to help identify a man who is accused of stealing more than $1,500 worth of Callaway golf clubs two weeks ago.


 

Surveillance video showed the suspect walking into Golf Galaxy at 9:52 a.m. July 12. Eleven minutes later, the same individual was seen walking out of the store with three Callaway drivers in hand that he never stopped to pay.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35-40 years old, with sandy blond hair, standing about 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 240 pounds. If he’s arrested, the suspect will be charged with grand theft, a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

We get an extra few yards of distance is important, but it’s not worth serving jail time over.
