Ted Scott Gets Two Incredible Gifts From his Boss

Being on the bag for a two-time Masters champion certainly has its perks. Be on the bag for a two-time Masters champ who is as generous as anyone on tour and it has some really cool, four-wheeled perks.

It’s no secret that Bubba Watson likes to give back. This week, he was giving back to Ted Scott, the guy who’s been on the bag for Watson for both of his green jackets, and Scott’s wife by upgrading their vehicles:

Watson and Scott have a solid relationship despite a couple of hiccups. Watson can be nearly as volatile as he is generous, but that hasn’t kept the two from success. On his bag for most of Watson’s professional career, Scott is not often surprised by Bubba anymore — except, of course, upgrade the Scotts’ personal fleet.

Rory McIlroy spent the last week celebrating with the Wanamaker Trophy, starting in New York on Monday. He’s scheduled to be in the Big Apple again this week when he and Tiger Woods visits Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show,” before The Barclays. This past Saturday, the 2014 Open Champion was showing off the other trophy he won this summer — the claret jug — at a Manchester United game.

A die-hard Manchester United fan, McIlroy caused a stir when he mentioned the team in his victory speech at Royal Liverpool in July — in the middle of Liverpool FC country. Safe to say McIlroy was in a little friendlier territory on Saturday.

On Fallon’s show, Chesson Hadley was named “most likely to see one of those giant wind sock guys and say … ‘dad?”‘ Hadley’s response won Twitter for the week — and the superlative battle:

On August 16, 1996, the classic golf film “Tin Cup” was released. As with any movie, there are plenty of stories from those who helped create it — from Kevin Costner’s one-putt to the famous “Pelican” shot from the bar, there’s a story to go with the scene.

More specifically, it’s a good time to remember the final golf scene of the movie where Roy “Tin Cup” McAvoy and David Sims (played by Don Johnson) are coming down the stretch with only the treacherous 18th hole standing between them and glory. Read More
