Tiger Woods Arrested on DUI Suspicion



 

Tiger Woods was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence by his home in Jupiter, Florida. The 14-time major winner was taken into custody at 3 a.m., booked at 7:18 a.m. and released on his own recognizance at 10:50 a.m according to Palm Beach County jail records.

More details including dashcam footage of the incident are expected to be released, according to the Daily Mail. Woods also faces the potential loss of millions of dollars in endorsement deals. The 41-year-old currently earns around $45.5 million per year from his sponsors.


 

The news comes just days after Woods provided a health update where he said he “hasn’t felt this good in years” since his latest back surgery.

“I’m saddened by the news; it’s embarrassing for Tiger,” longtime friend Notah Begay said on Golf Channel. “It’s hopefully something that he’ll learn from, he’ll grow from and take responsibility for and use it to make some changes.”
