Tiger’s DUI Toxicology Report Released

Tiger Woods’ toxicology report was made available to the public on Monday. Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving after his May 29th arrest. According to the report obtained by ESPN, Woods had five different drugs in his system at the time of the arrest.

The substances found in his system were hydrocodone, the generic form of a painkiller known as Vicodin, hydromorphone, a painkiller known as Dilaudid, alprazolam, a mood and sleep drug known as Xanax, zolpidem, a sleep drug known as Ambien and delta-9 carboxy THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.

Woods released a statement to GolfChannel.com in response to the publishing of the toxicology report, which gave an update on the status of his surgically repaired back.

“As I previously said, I received professional help to manage my medications. Recently, I had been trying on my own to treat my back pain and a sleep disorder, including insomnia,  but I realize now it was a mistake to do this without medical assistance. I am continuing to work with my doctors, and they feel I’ve made significant progress. I remain grateful for the amazing support that I continue to receive and for the family and friends that are assisting me.

“Regarding my back, I recently spoke to my surgeon and he’s very pleased with how my fusion is healing. I’m right on schedule. I’m now doing some light lifting, riding a stationary bike and putting a little.”

Woods has been active on social media in the wake of the arrest and subsequent treatment. Most recently, Woods posted a photo of himself with PGA Champion Justin Thomas on Monday.
