1. Rory McIlroy and Patrick Reed trade birdies at the Ryder Cup
This back and forth sequence sent chills down the spine of anyone who was watching it live. The replay has just about the same effect. Rory starts the sequence off with a deep birdie putt and releases some tension after he drained it with some double fist pumps and an “I can’t hear you!” display. Patrick Reed did not back down from a challenge, sinking his birdie putt and throwing the Mutumbo finger-wag in Rory’s direction as he looked on from the fringe. The two embraced after the hole was over to show that it was all in good fun, but we still ate it all up. Golf is great.
