Kapolei Golf Club

Kapolei Golf Club

If you and your golfing crew find yourselves on the island of Oahu on your next getaway then the Kapolei Golf Club should definitely be on your play roster.

Pearl Harbor Golf

Situated just west of Pearl Harbor, the par-72, 7,001-yard Ted Robinson-designed championship course, which has hosted the LPGA and Champions Tours, opened in 1994 on the more than 190 acres of a former sugar cane plantation. Featuring rolling hills, 80 bunkers, five lakes, and elevated greens, Kapolei provides not only incredible views but challenging holes. The lakes in particular affect play often impacting no fewer than 12 of the holes. The course further offers challenge with its thick rough and hard-to-read greens.

But, with several different tee boxes available, the course is playable for all levels of golfer.

Top-Notch Properties

Finding a great place to stay while on Oahu won’t be any trouble at all. The Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, the Modern Honolulu, Trump Waikiki, Courtyard Waikiki Beach, and Queen Kapiolani Hotel are all top-notch properties with great amenities and on-site activities.

Activities in this paradise are endless and include beaches, hiking, horseback riding, spas, and whale watching. Swing by the Kona Brewing Co. and sample some Hanalei Island IPA, Wailua Wheat or Fire Rock Pale Ale.

Finding an incredible meal also isn’t a concern. With just about every type of food you can imagine available, just listen to your stomach and head in any direction. Some places to check out include La Mer, Chef Chai, Alan Wong’s, Hy’s Steakhouse, Orchids, and for some pre- or post-round grub at Kapolei, head to the clubhouse restaurant.

Not surprisingly, there are a bunch of great courses on Oahu to add to the mix during your trip including the Hawaii Prince Golf Club, Royal Kunis Country Club, Turtle Bay, and Royal Hawaiian Golf Club.
