Opened back in 2005, the course is part of the Sandia Resort and Casino, a 228-room property owned and operated by the Pueblo of Sandia with more than 140,000 sq. ft. of gaming space.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR YOUR GOLF GAME
Sandia Golf Course, a par-72, 7,752-yard championship course designed by Scott Miller, is a great place to start your southwest golf journey. Although the course plays long, the layout is enjoyable for golfers of all levels. The track weaves through the rugged terrain of the high desert offering photo-worthy views of the surrounding Sandia Mountains and the greater Albuquerque area. The facility includes a fully stocked golf shop, full practice range, 10,000 sq. ft. practice green, short game area, an event center, and the Sandia Grill which in addition to offering an extensive menu also boasts a 3,000 sq. ft. covered outdoor patio overlooking the 18th green.
NEVER A DULL MOMENT
The southwestern-themed resort offers guest rooms and suites that feature incredible views, flat-screen cable TV’s, complimentary high-speed Internet access, bathrooms with walk-in showers and soaking tubs, refrigerators, and coffee makers.
Outside your room you’ll find a full-service spa, fitness center, pools & cabanas, hot tubs, and fire pits. Try your hand at some casino games or catch a great show at the 4,000-seat outdoor Amphitheater or theater-style Ballroom.
The resort features several great dining options, including the fine-dining Bien Shur, Council Room (all day menu), Thur Shan Buffet, and the P’A Shur Deli. In addition to in-room or private dining, guests can also grab drinks or lighter meals at a host of other on-site spots like the Tlur Pa, Ba Shie, and Bien Shur lounges.
The resort offers a Fairways & Food package that includes overnight accommodations, a round of golf, a food credit, and unlimited use of the fitness center and spa. A two-night stay is required.
While in the area, consider adding a round or two at Arroyo del Oso or Ladera Golf Course.
