Irrational Confidence Fails To Identify Possible Outcomes

Today in the Learning Center, we are joined by one of my junior golfers, Connor O’Dell. Connor struggles from the same problem many elite junior golfers have, which is he fails to understand how difficult some shots are before he hits them.

We set up a tough shot for Connor — a pitch over a bunker to a short-sided pin from a tight lie — to examine and talk through the irrational confidence many players have in order to create some realistic expectations for the outcome.
