Performance Friday: Everyday Golf Coach Noel Rousseau

Unless you’re one of the experts giving these lessons, you could probably use a little help with your golf game. The weekend is coming and that means it’s time to play some golf! It also means it would be in your best interest to brush up on your game or face the consequences and ridicule from the other members of your foursome.

Fret not, hackers, duffers and less-than-good golfers of the world, Back9Network is here to help. This week’s Performance Friday comes courtesy of Everyday Golf Coach Noel Rousseau.

The Golf Grip in Detail
“I’m not going to lie to you, grip changes are never easy. A lot of people find it a little uncomfortable.”

Power and Balance
“All those swings you see have great balance, great timing and great speed on the clubhead. In order to get all of those three, you must have the right motion in your hands.”

Keep Pitch Shots Low
“I always maintain that chipping is pretty easy as long as you go about it in the right way. Despite the name, it’s not necessarily about getting the ball up in the air.”

Read Greens Like a Pro
“The ability to read a green is a huge part to becoming a good putter. A lot of people struggle with this because they don’t know what they’re looking for and are reading the green from the wrong place.”

Check back every Friday for a new batch of the best golf tips on the web to help you get ready for the weekend. May your drives be straight and your tales be tall.
