Tools Of The Trade: William McGirt’s Winning Clubs At Memorial

William McGirt needed 20 holes on Sunday to claim his first PGA Tour win in a playoff over Jon Curran at the Memorial Tournament. McGirt shot rounds of 71-64-68-70 and made just one bogey over the final 36 holes to join the esteemed list of winners at Jack’s Place.

Check out the TaylorMade and Srixon equipment he used.

McGirt reiterated numerous times in his champion’s press conference that he didn’t feel comfortable over the ball during the final round. However, when he got on the greens, the putter felt right in his hands and he was able to erase any ball striking errors he had made with an ironclad short game.

He finished the week 16th in strokes gained: putting, seventh in strokes gained: tee to green and tied for first in strokes gained: total. That usually gets it done.
