You may be guilty of latching onto one club around the greens when hit chips or short pitch shots. This one-club method can certainly build a lot of confidence in that one club, but you will lack confidence when a different lofted club is truly needed.
Some shots may call for more roll and some may call for more carry. With that being said, it is so important you practice using different lofted clubs around the greens to ensure versatility in your short game when you are faced with a difficult up and down.
