Never Miss Another Short Putt

When practicing on the putting green, find a hole location that is on an uneven slope if possible. Place 4 golf balls around the hole about 3 feet from the cup — one ball forcing an uphill putt, one downhill and one on either side of the slope.

Practice putting around the hole trying to make all 4 putts. This will force you to hit each type of short putt to a hole — uphill, downhill, and two different breaking putts.

After a long lag putt, it’s important that we make the second putt. Oftentimes these short ones can be intimidating, but this drill will certainly make you feel more comfortable.
