When you’re carrying or pushing your golf bag on a walking cart, there are a few rules of thumb that you should abide by. When carrying your clubs, be sure to put your bag down a few feet from the putting area, keep it off of the teeing ground, make sure that it’s out of the line of play and never put it down in a bunker or a penalty area.

When you have your bag on a pushcart, keep your cart around 30 feet away from the green, walk around bunkers, keep your cart off of the tee box and again, be sure your bag is out of the line of play
