Rickie Fowler’s Go-To Swing Drill

A lot of golfers set themselves up for failure the very moment they start moving the club back. You may be struggling with a low and inside takeaway, or even an outside and disconnected takeaway.

It’s so important we do our best to stay on plane early in the golf swing; not just during your transition down to the golf ball. A good move away will allow for a better position at the top of the swing, giving you a much better chance to strike the ball on your intended target line.

Below, SwingU instructor Ryan Rustand performs a drill that will help you to get on plane during your move away from the golf ball on a more consistent basis in the same way pros like Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas do.
