9 Players Who Can Win The U.S. Open – Page 4

7. Martin Kaymer

Martin Kaymer may be one of the most underrated players of this era. The Germanator has won 23 times professionally and his three PGA Tour wins are a PGA Championship, a Players Championship and a U.S. Open. Kaymer’s bugaboo over the years has been his chipping, but Erin Hills’ runoffs look eerily similar to those around Pinehurst No. 2.

At 58th in the world, Kaymer is the lowest ranked player on this list, but there’s something about his game and his steely reserve that is hitting us right in the gut this week.
