When you see yourself on video and you’re trying to cure a hook, you’ll see that your club is coming a little too much from the inside. Using an alignment rod and an impact bag to show the results, coming from the inside will move that impact bag out to the left of the alignment rod.

All good instructors will try to teach you to do the opposite of what your pattern is in an effort to correct your mistakes — if you’re path is too much in-to-out, they’re going to try to get you to swing out-to-in. Using those thoughts, swing the club with those same key feelings so that trying to do the opposite will make your normal swing go pretty straight.
