Most of the players that I teach set up with their shoulders very open to the target. This causes an over-the-top move that brings the face of the club to come through impact open, or they flick their hands through, shutting the face and they hit a big hook.

Shoulder alignment is important because it helps the path on the way back and on the way down. Set up with the club facing your target and put your lead hand on your trail shoulder to get a good feel for how your shoulders are aligned at address.

For most of you, if you feel your shoulders slightly closed or to the right, and that will allow you to easily hit a little draw.
