Here’s an exercise that’s going to help you really get a good feel for the speed of the green. We’re going to putt to the fringe separating out pace and line. There’s no line to concern ourselves with because we’re just putting to the fringe for distance.
We want to separate visual and feel, so we’re going to hit the putt then guess whether it’s long, short or just about right. Then we look, and that will help us get a feel for the greens much, much faster.
