One thing we can all agree on is how important the takeaway position is. There are a lot of drills and fun ways to get the club on line early so you don’t have extra work to do coming into impact.

I call it the “hand-off drill” — I’ve also heard it called the “handshake drill.” Take your setup and move your right hand as though you were a quarterback handing a ball off to a running back, or in the other iterations of the drill, shaking someone’s hand. Simply hand the club off to yourself by bringing your hands together and swing.
