Reflecting on this past week’s Masters as a performance specialist, the difference between golfers who want to get better and the pros who are at the top of the game is something quite significant. 

What you don’t see the pros doing during their backswings is them rolling to the back side. They create the load on the inside of their back foot as opposed to getting too far on the outside. 

For most of us, this comes down to mobility and flexibility in our back hip and our lead shoulder, which forces our body to make adjustments to account for the tightness in those major areas.
