Load Into Your Back Side Effectively

As golfers, we all know the importance of the back side — that hip, that knee,  that foot and ankle.

Because the foot is the thing that’s on the ground that helps us transfer the force from the ground ultimately to our clubhead, we realize how important not only the motion, but the strength and stability of that foot and ankle are.

One of my favorite drills to guarantee that the back foot and ankle are reacting the way we want it to react in the backswing is to make sure that as I’m able to take the club back, I can load into this backside, which requires good dorsiflexion.
