We need external rotation of our right hip as we enter the impact zone because it’s that motion — or lack thereof —  that causes our back foot to come up into the follow-through position. Whether we have that motion or not will determine how consistently we’re delivering the club through impact. If you’re hitting squirrely, inconsistent shots, checking the mobility in that good hip is a good place to start.
