Never Shank An Iron Again

Gary Gilchrist

The dreaded shank usually comes from one of two common swing flaws. For better players, the issue is swinging too much from the inside and leading with the heel of the club.  For more average players, the flaw emerges with from the over-the-top swing, reaching the ball with too steep of a swing, again hitting it off of the heel.

Gary Gilchrist demonstrates a drill that will have you training your body to get the heel of the club away from the impact area.
