Stop Leaving Your Long Putts So Short

As amateur golfers, we often find ourselves on the front of a green with long lag putts required to accomplish our two-putt. Oftentimes, we’re simply too lazy to take the time to walk up to the hole and get a better feel for the distance our first putt needs to travel.

Instead of coming up woefully short, be the ball and walk the path that your ball will take. Making the effort to expend the energy needed to understand just how much ground the ball has to cover as well as getting a better feel for the terrain will help you to make a better stroke with proper weight in order to get the putt closer to the hole.
