In all athletic endeavors, we look for what we call weak links. Weak links are joints in the body in a certain plane of motion that inherently don’t have the strength that other links have.
One of those weak links in the golf swing is the inside part of the right hip and the inside part of the left hip. The weakness of the inside part of the right hip comes into play when we go through the follow-through transformational zone of the golf swing.
When you go from your backswing, down through impact and posting up on your front side, you’re pushing off the back side and creating mobility. We need our right side hip, our left side hip and our core to work synergistically to decelerate the body.
