The Best Way To Putt Temporary Greens

Obviously a disappointing round. As you know, the Spring Fling Opening Day 4-Person Ice Breaker ABCD Scramble is an event that I mark on my calendar months in advance. It’s an event that I spent the majority of the off-season trying to peak for, and obviously, that didn’t happen today.

The weather was a factor, but the real problem was that I don’t think I could have drawn a worse team. Our “A” player was a joke, classic vanity handicap; our “D” player was your typical “D” player who just so happened to be better than our “C” player, if that tells you anything.

Listen, I don’t want to be too hard on our “C” and “D” players, but if you’re relatively new to golf, and want to get tournament experience, you don’t just jump into the Ice Breaker ABCD Scramble.

The lag putt on 8 was one of the shots that I came up big on today. Ever since I put this Square Strike Wedge in the bag, my ability to navigate our three temporary greens has been a game-changer. I’m able to just stroke it like a putt, and the Square Strike is able to elevate it over all the imperfections on the green.

That lag was huge and got us a par that we desperately needed at the time. In my opinion, the Square Strike is the best club to hit when you’re putting on temporary greens.
