Do you wonder why you can’t take your range game to the golf course? You’re probably like most people, and when you’re on the range, you’re hitting the same shot over and over — what we call block practice. There are times that utilizing block practice can be beneficial, but most people practice this way all the time.

When you’re on the course, you have to deal with the consequences that come with a poor or mis-hit shot, whereas on the range you can just drag over another ball and try again.

Golf is an accumulation of a bunch of random shots, so your practice should replicate that. Instead of grooving one swing over and over, adjust your targets and allow your practice to mimic what you’ll see and do on the course.
