The key to putts finding the bottom of the hole is marrying the speed at which you hit the ball with the line you start it on. The instruction sounds easier than it proves to be, as any golfer can tell you, but the “connect the dots” drill can help a golfer of any skill level become a better green reader and therefore, a better putter.

Using ball markers, visualize the line that the ball will travel on to the hole. With a little trial and error, you can find the perfect path the ball should travel, which allows you to read greens better and visualize the putt you need to hit.
