A Meal For A Champion

Reigning Masters champion Bubba Watson will join the illustrious company of his fellow green-jacket winners on Tuesday night, as the Floridian will host the 62nd Masters Champions Dinner. 

Jenn Bosworth and Charles Everett hopped in the kitchen with chef Tyler Anderson to make some dishes from Champions Dinners past, then try to pair the food with the champion.

Jenn and Charles may not have been too successful in pairing a Masters champion with their Champions Dinner menu choice, but take a look at what those champions paired with these dishes to make a full meal.

Seafood platter: Charl Schwartzel

Full menu: An opening course consisting of a chilled seafood bar, which includes shrimp, lobster, crabmeat, crab legs and oysters. The main course is a “braai,” a South African barbecue, which includes lamb chops, steaks and South African sausages. Desert of vanilla ice cream sundae. Also in the mix are salads, cheeses, plus sides such as sauteed sweet corn, green beans and Dauphinoise potatoes.

Roasted tomato soup: Nick Faldo

Full menu: Fish and chips, tomato soup

Surf and turf: Zach Johnson

Full menu: Iowa beef, Florida shrimp

Turkey and dressing: Bernhard Langer

Full menu: Turkey and dressing, black forest torte

Empenadas and ice cream: Phil Mickelson

Full menu: A Spanish-themed menu with seafood paella and machango-topped filet mignon as the entrees. Also includes a salad course, asparagus and tortillas as sides, plus ice cream-topped apple empanada for dessert
