Golf is a social sport, and we think it’s fun to share golf experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Partnering with our friends at gottaGolf (The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App), SxS is proud to bring you “Golf Fails brought to you by gottaGolf,” a weekly reminder that golf is… really hard.
Any time you even see the above setup, you brace yourself for impending doom. If the golfer above happens to have a sweet swing and picks the ball clean off of his buddy’s body, it almost turns into a let-down. However, gottaGolf is sponsoring a Fail Friday franchise, not “this went really well,” so you already know what you’re in for.
It’s tough to figure out where this trick shot went wrong, although it could — and should — be argued that it was a fool’s errand from the start. It was never going to be good when you see the swinger’s arms unnaturally bent before he takes the swing; any kind of speed in the swing will straighten those arms out resulting in, well, exactly what happened.
The good news, if there is any, is that the club appears to clip the human tee’s hip before anything else. Not that hitting one’s hip is not painful, but given the choice, it’s the lesser of two evils.
