Golfer Bites Off Man’s Finger In On-Course Brawl

An on-course fight took a bizarre turn at a Massachusetts golf course on Friday evening, which resulted in a 47-year-old man being arrested and charged with mayhem after he allegedly bit off another golfer’s finger in the scuffle.

According to WCVB.com, just before sunset on Friday evening, someone called 911 reporting a fight at Southers Marsh Golf Club in Plymouth between two men, one of whom reportedly had his thumb bit off by the other.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the victim lying on the ground between three golf carts with his thumb bitten off to the knuckle. The dislodged appendage was on ice and the victim was transported to South Shore Hospital for treatment.

The alleged biter spent the night behind bars.
