Golfer Threatened With Gun Following Argument

One man was arrested for making “terroristic threats” and a golfer has a new appreciation for out of bounds stakes after an argument over a wayward shot resulted in a gun being pulled on the golfer, police said.

A 42-year-old golfer was playing at Bonniebrook Clubhouse and Golf Course in Butler, Pennslyvania on Sunday afternoon when his ball came to rest in the yard of a nearby home. A 55-year-old man emerged and confronted the golfer who was retrieving his ball, CBS Pittsburgh reported

An argument ensued and the homeowner pulled out a pistol and threatened the golfer. No shots were fired, but the 55-year-old was cited with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He was also ordered to not contact the golfer.
