World Record Holder For Shortest Drive?

Golf is a social sport, and we think it’s fun to share golf experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Partnering with our friends at gottaGolf (The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App), SxS is proud to bring you “Golf Fails brought to you by gottaGolf,” a weekly reminder that golf is… really hard.

Technology and better understanding of the golf swing have revolutionized the way the game is played — especially on television — but it’s always good to get a reminder from the common man that, yes, golf is still really difficult.

Take, for instance, our friend above. There’s nothing young amateurs love more than reeling back and letting loose a big drive. The golfer above certainly has Dustin Johnson Toptracer lines dancing through his head as he pulls the club back, but the reality of hitting that little static golf ball with the hunk of metal connected to the bottom of that golf club proves to be a little trickier than expected.

It’s never good when you turn a 400-yard par-4 into a 399-yard par-3 after your first swing.
