Golf is a social sport, and we think it’s fun to share golf experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Partnering with our friends at gottaGolf (The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App), SxS is proud to bring you “Golf Fails brought to you by gottaGolf,” a weekly reminder that golf is… really hard.
Weddings and wedding receptions often go hand-in-hand with golf, whether you’re talking about the bachelor parties prior to the festivities or oftentimes the venue for the ceremony and/or the receptions. As any golf-loving person can attest, attending one of these special celebrations when there is a course near-by can be trying on your inner golfer.
The man in the video above should send a chill down every golfer’s spine. Since we’re not playing in the age of Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen, the formal dress code of weddings can wreak some havoc on your swing. The real question that emanates from the video is where was this guy aiming?
The shank only makes things worse, but why try and buzz the tower of the congregation when a case of the shanks is never more than a hosel away?
Of course, since this bizarre incident was captured on video using gottaGolf, The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App, we get to see that the errant range shot not only headed towards the group of people outside enjoying the reception, it headed into the heart of the crowd. Not good.
