Tour Pro’s Hilarious Twitter Feud With Skechers

Here’s a free lesson in brand loyalty. An unusual, yet hilarious, exchange unfolded on social media earlier this week involving PGA Tour player Graham DeLaet and shoe manufacturer, Skechers. Seriously, we aren’t making this up.

It all started when DeLaet, who clearly was watching the Federer/Raonic Wimbledon match on Wednesday tweeted:

Showing no mercy, the Skechers account offered to give DeLaet a pair of their shoes, with a subtle jab:

However, the Canadian wasn’t having any of it!

But wait, that’s not all! England-based Golf World chimed in on the matter rattling off Tour winners sponsored by the shoe brand and were keen to point out DeLaet’s own win total.

That’s when DeLaet dropped the mic:

DeLaet is currently sponsored by FootJoy. He’s notched 5 top-10s so far this season and has racked up roughly $11 million in prize money over his PGA Tour career.
