Stray Bullet Hits Man on Golf Course

 

Hearing gunfire on the golf course from a distance isn’t all that unusual, especially if you home course is located somewhere in the vicinity of a gun range or something of the like. However, never do you expect to been in close enough proximity that a stray bullet may happen to find its way onto the golf course. Unfortunately earlier this week one California golfer was somehow unexpectedly in the line of fire and got struck in the leg. 

The Press-Enterprise has the full report:

A man on the Hemet Golf Club in the Four Seasons community was struck by a bullet Wednesday evening, March 29, apparently fired from the nearby hills, the Hemet Police Department said.The man, 47, was hit in the leg about 6 p.m. and was expected to survive, a news release said.

Witnesses also said they heard what sounded like gunfire from that area just before the man was hit.

Thankfully he is expected to recover, but someone needs to teach this shooter some etiquette. If you’re going to shoot illegally, at least have the decency to yell “fore!”
