Friday afternoon Bellevue officials responded to a call of a man pinned under a pickup truck on a golf course near South 25th and Fairview Road.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a 2004 Chevy pick-up truck, driven by 37-year-old Jeremy Clark, was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Fairview Road, approaching 25th Street. He failed to stop at the stop sign, drove through the “T” intersection, went airborne over the ridge, and overturned upon impact.

Witnesses on the scene say the man fell out of the truck which eventually came to a stop on the fairway.

The incident occurred close to the Bellevue district 4 fire station, so rescue crews were dispatched to the scene quickly.

The man was taken to UNMC in critical condition.
