When it comes to high-quality golf on the LPGA Tour, there aren’t many competitors who do it better than Morgan Pressel. As Matt Lincoln of CBS reports, Pressel is also a big time player off the course.
Since 2008, Pressel’s foundation has donated millions of dollars annually to fund cancer treatment at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Her mother passed away from the disease 10 years ago.
As a result of her foundation’s efforts, Pressel’s donations have led to the creation of the Mammovan, a mobile mammogram unit available to patients who are either unable to get to the hospital or too frightened to go.
To commemorate and honor Pressel’s dedication and generosity, the hospital engraved her name on a wall at the Lynn Cancer Institute, a center that researches the role genetics has in hereditary cancer.
We at Back9Network salute Morgan Pressel for her efforts and selfless actions to help fight cancer.
