Open Championship: McIlroy Favorite, Tiger Close Behind

Martin Kaymer took home the win at the U.S. Open last week at Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina, and opens at 20-to-1 odds at the LVH SuperBook to win next month’s British Open.

The season’s third major will take place at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England.

Kaymer is grouped together with a number of golfers at 20-to-1, including Tiger Woods, Henrik Stenson, Phil Mickelson and Jason Day.

Woods has been out of action since undergoing surgery in March, but the Open Championship presents another target for him to work toward. Until he rules himself out, Tiger’s ability has to be respected.

Rory McIlroy maintains his status as the favorite at 12-to-1 odds, closely followed by Adam Scott at 15-to-1.
