PGA’s Top Educator Joe Hallett Launches 1-on-1 Training App

SwingU, the golf technology and media company, announced today that Joe Hallett, Director of Instruction at the Vanderbilt Legends Golf Academy, Franklin, TN and SwingU Master Faculty member, has launched the Joe Hallett app in partnership with SwingU Academies.

Having recently received the 2018 Horton Smith National Award given to the PGA of America’s top educator, Hallett has been a two-time PGA Tennessee Section’s Teacher of the Year as well as ranked the #1 teacher in Tennessee by Golf Digest in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Hallett also served on the PGA President’s Council on Growing the Game from 2006 to 2013, was voted the #8 best instructor by Tour Pro Vote in 2015 and was recognized as a Golf Magazine Top-100 Teacher (since 2011) and Golf Digest 50 Best Teachers in America (#40). Joe brings 25 years of PGA Professional instruction and education to the Vanderbilt Legends Club as the Director of Instruction. Hallett currently works with Stacy Lewis, Lizette Salas, and a host of other LPGA professionals; as well as having worked with major winners Juli Inkster and Inbee Park.

For a monthly or annual subscription plan, the Joe Hallett app will provide students with an engaging, academy-like experience, including a content forum where both students and Joe will share video, stories and interact on everything in golf; a student swing locker for filming & saving swings; a VOD library of drills & lessons; and one personalized lesson with Hallett per month, allowing for swing analysis, prescriptive drills and regular touch points. Due to the integration of SwingU’s top-rated GPS & scorecard app, Hallett and his staff will be able to immediately analyze students’ rounds, stats and on-the-course performance when students use SwingU on the course.

Highly regarded for his expertise in golf instruction, technology, media and professional development, Hallett has been one of the industry’s most influential professionals. His diverse achievements include PGA Lead Instructor of the PGA Professional Golf Management Program and the PGA Master Professional Checkpoint Faculty; Chairman of the 2011 PGA Teaching Coaching Summit; and a former host and producer of the popular “The Golf Show” on Sportstalk Radio Network.
