SwingU, the golf technology and media company, announced today that short game specialist, Stan Utley, has joined the company’s Master Faculty.

Utley is believed by many industry experts to be the best short game instructor in the world. His list of current and former students on the PGA, Web.com, Champions and LPGA Tours includes Jay Haas, Sergio Garcia, Joaquin Neiman, Scott Langley, Kevin Streelman and Bill Haas. Former students include Scott Piercy, Paige Mackenzie, Amanda Blumenherst, Darren Clarke, Brandt Jobe, Rocco Mediate, Alex Noran, Inbee Park, Paul McGinley and many more. Utley also has written four instructional books – The Art of the Swing, The Art of Putting, The Art of the Short Game and The Art of Scoring.

“Joining the SwingU Master Faculty is a great opportunity for me to help golfers of all backgrounds improve their short game,” said Utley. “I’ve gathered a lot of information through my personal experiences teaching and playing, and I’m thrilled to be able to leverage SwingU’s technology and marketing expertise to communicate this knowledge to their large, engaged audience of golfers.”

Ranked #25 on Golf Digest’s 2017-18 “50 Best Teachers in America” list, Utley began his career as a successful tour player. Utley initially turned pro in 1984 and won the 1989 Chattanooga Classic on the PGA Tour. He holds the PGA Tour record for fewest putts in nine holes, with six at the 2002 Air Canada Championship. Utley also competed on the Web.com Tour, earning three victories – the 1993 NIKE Cleveland Open, the 1995 NIKE Louisiana Open and NIKE Miami Valley Open.
