SwingU, the golf technology and media company, announced today that Brandon Roby, Director of Instruction at Cascade Hills Country Club, Grand Rapids, MI, has launched the Brandon Roby Golf app in partnership with SwingU Academies.
During his time at Cascade Hills, Brandon has continued his education by becoming certified at the Titleist Performance Institute Levels 1 and 2, as well as Level 2 junior golf-certified. He is U.S. Kids-certified and one of only three professionals in Michigan to earn Aimpoint putting certification with Mark Sweeney. Roby earned the Western Michigan Chapter Teacher of the Year in 2013 and 2014 and was also a finalist for Michigan Teacher of the Year in 2013. Ranked #3 in Golf Digest’s Best Teachers in Michigan in 2017, he also was an honorable mention for U.S. Kids Top-50 teachers in both 2014 and 2015 for junior golf development.
The Brandon Roby Golf app will provide students with an engaging, academy-like experience, including a content forum where students, Brandon Roby and his staff will share video, stories and interact on everything in golf; a student swing locker for filming & saving swings; a VOD library of drills & lessons; 1-on-1 streamlined personal communication including swing analysis and prescriptive drills; and in-person lesson booking. Due to the integration of SwingU’s top-rated GPS & scorecard app, Brandon and his team can immediately analyze students’ rounds, stats and on-the-course performance when students use SwingU on the course.
Trained by leading industry instructors including Jason Sutton, Mark Blackburn and James Ridyard, Roby’s knowledge and willingness to continue to grow and learn is the basis behind his teaching philosophy.
