Chamblee: Anchor Ban Enforcement is “Appalling”

If Brandel Chamblee doesn’t agree with something, you can bet you are going to hear about. The Golf Channel analyst’s latest rant has to do with the anchored putter ban that went into effect on January 1, 2016, and the enforcement of it by officials, particularly on the PGA Tour Champions.

According to this tweet he posted at the end of May, he made it clear he sees an issue with how some players are holding their longer putters more than a year into the ban:

However, the subject resurfaced over this past weekend when somebody replied to it suggesting an alternative solution. That’s when Chamblee questioned the governing bodies wording of the rule and how it’s enforced. Clearly, he had no problem choosing the words for this response.

But seriously, Brandel, tell us how you really feel:

Chamblee didn’t mention any names, but there are only so many players who still use long putters on Tour.
