Fans Can Watch Every Shot From The Masters

If there’s one complaint every year from golf’s diehard fans at the first major championship of the year, it’s that not enough of the tournament is available to watch.

That will change this year, thanks to innovations announced by Augusta National chairman Fred Ridley on Wednesday.

Starting Thursday morning, every shot from every player will be viewable on Masters.com or in the Masters app within seconds of it being struck.

If you’re wondering how Tiger Woods got to that spot or what Sergio Garcia did to make a 13 on the 15th hole, you’ll be able to see it on the Masters’ digital offerings.

“The reason we’re doing it is because we have always subscribed to the notion that we want to provide content to our fans in the way they want to receive it,” Ridley said. “You know, the world is migrating more and more towards digital technology. It was something that we thought, and that we were hearing, that our fans wanted, and with a lot of great work of our digital technology committee and our staff, we were able to develop this.

“It’s been two or three years in developing. We had it in a beta test mode previously, but now I feel like we can actually execute on this.”
