Hatton Strikes Fan In Head With Wayward Drive

Less than a week removed from a similar incident in Paris that left a Ryder Cup fan without vision in her right eye, Tyrrell Hatton struck a fan during this week’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship that bloodied another fan’s face.

Playing the 15th hole at Kingsbarns, Hatton hit a tee shot offline and it made first contact with a female spectator’s head.

Hatton spoke to the woman after she regained her footing. She was treated by paramedics before taking a cart to the on-course medical center.

The woman was photographed looking in good spirits, but with a large mark on her forehead where the golf ball struck her.

Brooks Koepka struck a spectator at last week’s Ryder Cup, which resulted in a loss of vision for the victim. She plans to sue the Ryder Cup organizers as a result.
